Tidas summoned the small gathering of his tribe folk that had decided to allow curiosity to get the best of them to join him inside the circle. There was so much movement now in the water he feared that Sharptooths would return and he did not want to be loosing anymore tribe mate anytime soon. Tidas knew that not everyone could join them so he sent out a visual sending so all could connect and enjoy the birth.
Current knew that it was time for her calf to be born so without warning she arched her back and her wonderful creation of life came into view. The elves just stared in amazement as the newborn calf swam around slowly at first and then picked up speed. Current swam underneath her newborn calf and gently nudged him upwards towards the waters surface. The elves still in the boats watched as Current and her newborn calf came to the surface. Both mother and child took in a deep breath of air and then sprayed water into the air as it fell upon those in the boats. The display had been enough for Tidas and his tribe members to forget their troubles almost completely but soon reality once again set in.
As Current and her the newborn calf swam out in front of the rest, the caravan of sea turtles and wavedancers followed their lead and the small boats full of precious cargo followed behind.
As Lord Tidas stood near the tip of the first boat he knew that within the hour the day star would completely vanish beneath the water and the darkness and cold would return and he feared that some would perish this night. His people had been given a valuable gift from the newcomer Kelp but they had been almost three days without fresh water. Suddenly Tidas felt a shiver as an unknown breeze blew what seemed right over his head. Why did he all of a sudden feel the need that they needed to change course just a little. Tidas sent to Current to change course as the small sails turned just enough to guide the small boats a little to the west.
Stars were already visible in the sky and last of the day stars light disappeared beneath the rippling waves. Tidas had given up hope of finding land before nightfall pulled his cloak tighter around his neck as the unknown breeze continued to hoover over them almost guiding them into the night. Without warning someone in the next boat shouted. "Land we've found land!"
