She was raised by both parents as well as the entire tribe and taught many skills which she picked up quickly. She has some half siblings by both parents, though she is not especially close to them. Felt's lifemate is Starmist (Starmist is one of the last firstborn of the High Ones still alive among the Plains Runners and is a healer). Skysinger's lifemate is Fletch the Master bow maker of the Tribes. Older (half-)brother Mekleet a young healer. Younger (half-)sister Salah. Other tribe mates and friends, hunters in the tribe of Brow Horns of the Plains Runner tribes; Eska, Verge, Dinn, Kendira, Peak, Rustle, Jura, Cappi, Spinner, and Sprint.
ORIGIN: Jolt has been a wanderer for more than three eights of the seasons (30 years). Her tribe was one of several plains runners tribes, that would follow the herds of the brow horns (bison), the hook horns (prong horns), and the large horns (Irish deer or megocerous), the tuskers (Mastadons) and spear nose (Woolly Rhinos). As a young elf girl her ability to make sparks manifested and Jolt was proud to be called upon to start fires for cooking. As she got older she learned not only to create electricity, she could use it to sometimes stun small prey at a distance with thrown ball lightning. Her calling of the skyfire was accidental and in the resulting grass fire separated her from her tribe. Not physically but emotionally. Some of the members of her tribe died because of the long lasting effects that the fire caused. The memories of that event still haunt her. This is why she is practicing to learn to control it and not let it control her. She feels she has to learn her magic alone so as not to endanger others.
PERSONAL HISTORY AND INFORMATION: She likes to run distances. The hunt is glorious. She is afraid of the potential destruction her magic can and has brought in the past. She fears the dry seasons now, partly due to her magic and partly due to starvation season for her now that she is separated from her mother Skysinger. Her personality is generally easy going and she laughs and smiles when the mood strikes her. She can also be quick to anger and when she gets angry her hair will stand on end, and electric sparks can appear around her hands and head. She can be sullen at times when she frets about the past and her magic.
COLORS\SYMBOLS: She wears or uses nothing metal. Her tribe had little among them, and it tends to ground her magic like a lightning rod.
KNOWLEDGE\OPINION OF:
HUMANS: Avoid them when you can, some are safe to trade with, most could be dangerous when angered or fearful or injured.
TROLLS: Digger-folk are odd. They sometimes trade shiny stones or worked metal goods for meats and furs. Some of them hunt elves for slaves. Best to be wary and armed in large numbers when dealing with them.
PRESERVERS: Her tribe had none and the knowledge of them long forgotten as life on the plains can be quick and brutal at times. Even more generations of elves have passed than even in Cutter's Wolfriders, between 20 and 35 generations have come and gone since they stepped out onto the plains. Even though immortal, not many a plains runner lives past 350 seasons. They do recognize, but most children are born out of recognition and they tend to breed like Go-Backs, even more so perhaps adapting to be more like humans in the numbers of children they can have. 5-10 children in a life time is not unheard of for the women, though only half of the children may make it to maturity, and one quarter will reproduce themselves. It is possible the plains runners are an offshoot of the Go-Backs, and hence the wolfriders, and they never got far enough north to hear the call of the palace before the war with the trolls. They may even be related to the group that raised Tier on Junnsland continent. It is not unheard of an entire tribe or part of one to go missing between 8 turn gatherings. Every 8 years there is a prearranged meeting area set out for all the tribes to meet, share news, and hunting, find new mates, and check for recognition among the tribe members old and newly matured elves. The Plains Runners are so called, as they are named after the cheetah like predators of the plains.
OTHER ELVES: Rumors of other elven tribes exist, but none have been found in living memory, other than the known tribes of the Plains Runners. The last stranger elves seen were a group many thousand of years back. Possibly Savah's group heading to the desert. There have been single wandering elves from other tribes who have interacted with the Plains Runner Tribes, some have passed through, some have recognized, and some have joined them, but not groups larger than 2-3 have been met in a long time.
