Rescue-mission for those left behind.

Kimu heard the sendings. All of them. She felt the need to go to join her tribe mates. Hearing Whitemoth and Moonstone urging Jewel to eat the mushrooms in the basket Odd-thing had brought her. Kimu was on edge. Then Whitemoth seemed to be in deep thought for a moment. Kimu patted and petted Grandmother.

"Be at ease Love, Look after Jewel. Easy." and stepped away a bit. She looked up at the male troll. She nodded to him after his request of her. Open sending to all in range. **Jewel and Whitemoth are headed back to the hidden Tree den to rest and make some food for on the way back to meet up there.**

Everything in Kimu was urging her to go to the others.Kimu holds her sword firmly in one hand her silver dagger in the other. "I have shared with the others your plan to return and Jewel, you wanting to make some food. Thank you for that. I must go to the others to help and I think I heard Odd-thing, my Daughter's Longtooth calling out to me. I need to go check on her. She could be in trouble."

Kimu kept watch on the ground while Whitemoth and Grnadmother then once they are out of sight, Kimu heads off running then leaping through the trees to find Odd-thing and see what she is into.

Around 5 hours later, near by the entrance Tidas and two others entered, Kimu stops under the tree Moonstone is in to dink water and catch her breath just as she spots the tracks and the scent of Odd-thing. Teh cat remembered to mark her scent for Kimu to fallow.

She makes her way to the Feline, but something, a sound of someone calling to her. She traces the sound and there is a half dead and rotten corpse of her friend and distant family member by blood, Leafdragon. Her heart over flowing into her throat, she choaks down the urge to purge what little is in her stomach. Raising her arm to her mouth and nose, then she meets eyes with him.

She steps closer taking his head into her lap and hands. She used her magic to sooth him and this frees him from his pain, somewhat, he whispers to her faintly, and she weeps and nods to him. She takes her knife and sets him free from the wrechid form the Trolls left him in and takes his head circlet fixing it to her sash to keep to remember him. She removes all the bugs she can then digs at the dirt to cover over him as she cries and curses in pain and loss and anger most of all.

Soon though reality and the living sink back into her mind and with some determanation, she starts off again and in being very close meets the Mountain elves in a mix of elves she knows from this Holt and some new faces. She grets them all telling them what has happened in the most recent of days.

Soon she arrives. Observing what little she can...she calls out to Odd-thing. Hearing Odd-thing reply, Kimu leaps from the trees near by Moonstone and Shaft and runs to the further away opening in the rubble of the two towers than the other three entered into, and carefully approaches. "Odd-thing...you seem safe sounding, what did you need?" She whispers thinking the cat is not to far away to hear her. Her Animal soothing magic doing it's thing as she enters.

The cat calls her inside further. Once her eyes adjust, she smiles. "You found some live ones Cub! Good job!" She cheered in praise to Odd-thing. The feline purred loudly at this and the scratching behind the ears.

 **My eyes see with joy. I came to help. Where should I start? Don't fear Odd-thing, she is a sweethearted friend of my daughter's." Kimu stepped inside a bit more to see better as her eyes sight adjusted better to the dank and dark passage way. She awaited the reply of those around her now.

((I made a new thread for Kimu and the mountain elves Amber is playing called Discovery of Mountain Elves Return! (From Rescue thread) and I see she just posted there, Yippy! : ) So, above in blue is the new part to mesh with the other Kimu post in the new thread. K, play on!))

((OOC: I don't recall if Kimu would know these elves but they feel like Tribe mates, so she is happy and Odd-thing seems happy too. The Elves in the path way in the rubble may see things diff, play as you wish, I'll catch up then. Also, whatever you all decide on the splitting of the smaller stories fro the Main Rescue of Kashee and crew, I'll fallow what eves you all decide.))

She felt the emotional turmoil of Lord Tidas and leaned her free hand against the nearest trunk of the great tree. Moonstone felt the soothing pulse of the wood giant and kept her eyes open in case of others appearing in this section of forest. She breathed slowly along to the throb of the tree's pulse and readied herself for the reappearance of the search parties and wounded. Biting her lip, she wished for her mother's guidence. Her mother had been a calm soul, drawn to healing with herbs instead of a natural gift. Her hands had been so soft to brush away fevers with practiced ease while she sang low to soothe the spirit.

It was a wonder to be so but she had wondered why her mother had not felt useless in not being gifted. Moonstone's green gift had saved them several times during their wanderings but not to be able to save them as they gasped out their last breath while their hands clung to each other. Their deaths were still fresh and left her feeling unsure and alone.

Here, there were others who needed her and that steeled her determination to do what was right. She glanced around to make sure that all was well and saw Shaft shifting on her branch with an arrow ready and poised at the bow string.

Kashee rushed to his friend. "Cove! Cove! You are here!" He was so happy to see his friend again! "You know, we have your Sire safe? He is in wrapstuff.... " His words were locked in his throat... and the fresh memory of his own Sire made him cry. He shook his head.

He didn't see the tender moment between ShineBright and Santiara, but he didn't miss Lord Tidas' outburst.
He was shocked, he had never seen him react like this and for a moment he didn't know what to do, but to follow Lord Tidas ourside...

Cove sensed pain in Kashee' sending. "And your parents? Is your Sire alright?" He hated his lack of interest in his own Sire, but Raven had never shown much interest in his life and he had accepted that fact. Eventhough it hurted his soul.
He hugged his friend as he realized his parents were dead... **I am so sorry my friend!** He locksend to him. **We are still together, we will stand strong together!**

He too heard Lord Tidas' ourburst, but he wasn't shocked, not even suprised. He had seen too much to react to it. Cove just shrugged and stood up with ShineBright's aid. "Thank you. Where will we go now?" He dared not to ask who was still alive, he would find out eventually!

Tidas looked his longtime friend in the eyes. He felt no need to calm down, for the first time he wanted to do something without thinking, give in to his feelings, not caring he was their Chief....

Chief....

He had always felt he was right for the task. He had been chief for countless tides and the safety and happiness of his people had always been more important to him then his own. Thinking about the next step, the next hunt, the next argument to settle, seeing couples build a life together and even dealing with Raven felt like part of his job and he never had any problems doing so.

But today....
This brutal attack on his people and him, the needless killing of their tribesmembers, the .....

Ofcourse ShineBright would be the one standing up against him, to calm him before doing anything he would certainly regret....
"Friend, I know in my head that you are right, but...." He continued locksending to her, because he didn't want others to hear this. **For once I don't want to act as chief, don't want to think about how my action will effect you or my tribe... for once...**
He signed and closed his eyes. The rage was slowly fading, but he wasn't sure he wanted it to fade.

He looked around, some looked shocked, others understanding.
"I apologize... I should not have reacted like this." He said to no one in particular. "Let's return and see where the others are."
He walked back to the entranche of Two Towers and ignored their fallen friends and kin. Their lives will be remembered, their death mourned and their spirits celebrated.

The way back to the hidden tree felt shorter, maybe because they didn't searched survivors or maybe it only felt shorter in Tidas' head. But soon he saw the tree and relaxed a little more.
