J'ayaram is a tall elf with a calm and quiet demeanor. He rarely has anyone to speak with beside animals now and then he will feed. He never names them though, and has never seen to take up riding one in his long life. He will hunt them though, when he needs to, only taking what is needed and nothing more. After living with the humans that that had let greed into their tribe, J'ayaram had had more than enough of greed, he had decided.
Things around him began to show signs of thinning, a couple of hundred years after living off the wilderness, he started to notice less and less animals and the plants withering all around for a long distance. One day he realized if he wanted to continue to survive, he must find a more fruitful place to live, one without harmful humans, as he has not lost hope in all humans yet.
He would glide high up into the sky, map the land from memory then glide down again at sun up and dun down. This was risky, to do in day light so he only did this as the sun rose and fell behind the horizons in the half light when human eyes can't tell shadow from what is real and solid.
He took the time to gather what food he could as well as some water skins encase there was to be no water where he was heading. He had grown to know starvation and thirst as if second nature to him and this drove him to risk venturing out into the world once more from all he has known. "How long do I roam till I may find another home?" he says, teasing at his situation. After a while he starts to sing a song softly while he walks.
He sleeps in the trees away from large animals or possible humans, though he has seen none on his long journey. "Three or more days ago I started....Three days more, still to go, possibly. If nothing interrupts my being on my way....The sun rise seems to sparkle where the lush green begins, I guess it's as good a place as any when you have no idea where you are going." He tells himself then starts to head south east having no idea other elves and a few Trolls plus Preservers will be joining him there soon.
On the sixth evening he glides up to the high night sky now able to see the shimmer on the horizon was water near some mountains. He headed to the west end of the mountains for cover though still wanting to explore further, this strange new land. He makes his way through the mountains to a small body of water to drink and refill his water skins. He desides to rest here in the trees for a bit before moving on.
Morning comes and just before the sun rises brightly, J'ayaram has risen and headed into the lush this forest to see what he can find. So many things new to him to mention all at once, as he looks on in wonder, he reminds himself of the dangers of not knowing things like your surroundings and what inhabited creatures might be lurk around. He backed into the foliage hiding himself while opening his senses. His breathing slowed as he lets it all sink in.
He stood still closing his eyes listening sharply to everything around him. Birds, Frogs, and monkeys? He has seen monkeys before and many bugs too. Other sounds were bugs and none of them seemed to disturbed by something such as humans. He relaxed a little. He could not let his guard down though. He could lower his guard around deadly animals to show no threat to them, as he was doing in this place right now. Could a bear or something wild as a boar just as deadly be about? It was getting lighter every moment as the sun was rising with some effort it seemed.
A few hours passed and a blue Macaw calls out fluttering by his head just being a bird, nothing alarming otherwise. He realizes. Looking around he spots the Mother moon with Child moon laying down in the direction he had just traveled, from, in the west.
After a good stretching of his limbs, he is in no rush as he goes about floating now and then and walking oor taking a sit to taste a fruit and some other such thing. He seems oblivious to notice signs, if any that others might live in the area. Not human, surely, and he'd not seen any other elves since his parents died or left him long ago. He would not know what to look for. Not yet anyhow.
As he discovers fruits, he picks them, sniffs then and gives it a lick. Things he likes, he eats. He thinks he likes it here. Landing on a low branch, he smiles. "maybe this can be my home?" He says to himself softly wondering about that option. He moves at a moderate pace through the trees deeper into the lushness of the tropical forest. He can see snakes about and avoids them right away. "Sneaky devils those! That's right, keep to yourself, and I to mine. Good Hissy." He says looking ahead again. Slowly but surely he is heading towards the Beach to watch the sunrise over the Cove and Vast deep!
As the heat of the tropics made the forest hot, J'ayaram glided into the air above the trees to see if the water was shimmering from the sun just yet. It was not, but the sky...The sky was breathtaking with so many colors! He wondered with tears in his eyes if such a splendid sight was like his Parents told in stories of the First comers, The High Ones. He was so moved tears strolled down his cheeks in such joy!
He floated, hovering a good while, not thinking if others could spot him, he was so overwhelmed by the sight it took him a bit before remembering to hide. He took his robe off his shoulders letting the top half hang at the belt on his hips. He knew this place was much warmer than he was used to. He had to touch the water and feel the waves on his skin. It would be a while still before he was to touch the beach shore.
